I Love Western Australia!

~ Hyden ~ Cervantes ~ Perth

sunny 26 °C

Western Australia is special for me. It is a place full of natural wonders and beautiful beaches where I can totally indulge myself in the beauty of nature. The sky above is always blue and maybe it is for this reason people here give off impressions that they are energetic and full of laughter most of the time. The must-visit-places of Western Australia are The Wave Rock and The Pinnacles Desert. Both of them are natural wonders formed in many years ago. In this journal I'd like to show you some of the pictures I took on the trip, they are part of my memory, and now become part of yours!

(15 metres high and 110 metres long)
The Wave Rock is one of Australia's most famous landforms, a giant surf wave of multicoloured granite about to crash onto the bush below. The shape of the wave is formed by gradual erosion of the softer rock beneath the upper edge, over many centuries and it is believed to have formed over 2700 million years ago, before dinosaurs roamed the earth!

That day it was perfectly sunny and I've spent several hours of walking under the beautiful sunlight. I felt I was embraced by the nature in every moment when the sunlight touched and penetrated my skin.

The Giant Wave Rock is really a worthwhile place to visit. I like it so much, especially when I first witness the stunning view of the Great Wave Rock which is so enchanted and majestic.

This picture was taken along the way to the Wave Rock.

  • Wake Rock is located east of the town Hyden, and the town of Hyden is located 330 km east of Perth.

The Pinnacles is situated within Nambung National Park, about two hours drive from the nearest town of Cervantes, Western Australia. It is composed by thousands of limestone pillars that stand in groups in the desert, which covers an area of 4 square meters.

Unless you've been to the Pinnacles Desert, you'll probably never have seen anything like this. Imagine a gently rolling, sandy desert, with the odd bit of green scrub around. This beautiful natural wonders, Moreover, there is no one pinnacle that looks exactly the same as another. Some of their surfaces may be smooth while some other may be honeycombed.

  • Cervantes is a town in Western Australia, located 231 kilometres (144 mi) north west of the state capital, Perth.

It is a very interesting and amazing place to visit. I heard people say that ghosts haunt Fremantle Prison, there were forty-three men and one woman hung on the site. >_< The prison was built in the 1850s and it operated as a maximum-security prison until year 1991. Moreover, the limestone buildings set an eerie scene for both day and night tours. So, if you are looking for excitement, maybe you would like to visit the site at night.

Located just five minutes from Perth city, it is home to over 1300 amazing animals representing 200 species. It is a fun place for all ages of people. Personally, I like the zoo very much. Those funny and cute animals will sure make your day special and fulfill your holiday with laughter. (only for those who love animals :) )

BURSWOOD PARK – where to meet the black swan
It is a fantastic place to relax and hanging around with family. I just can't wait to go back!

P.S.: I'd like to thank uncle Ch., a friend of my father, who lives in Perth, for taking us to visit many beautiful places. The trip was awesome not only because of the attractions in the city and in places around the area, but also of his love and kindness.
