Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium (沖縄美ら海水族館 ) is located within the Ocean Expo Park, Northwest coast of Okinawa. The aquarium is made up of four-floors, is set on 19,000 m² of land and holds a total of 77 tanks with 10,000 m³ of water. The main tank called the 'Kuroshio Sea' holds 7,500 cubic metres of water and features the largest acrylic glass panel in Asia which measures 8.2 by 22.5 metres with a thickness of 60 centimetres.

The whale sharks are my favorite creatures in the tank. They are so huge and cute!

Okinawa has a climate that is totally different from mainland Japan. It has a good temperature climate throughout the year and it is always humid. Winter in Okinawa is not cold. The four days I had spent in Okinawa it was on December. It wasn't cold but it was always raining.

Shurijo Castle (首里城) is one of the place that you can't miss when you are traveling in Okinawa. The castle was the palace of the Ryukyu Kingdom. Located in Shuri, Okinawa. It was almost completely destroyed during Second World War and was rebuilt in 1992 on the same location based on historical records.

It is easy to access to Shurijo Castle. Just take the monorail to Shuri Station, then follow the street post to the Shurijo Castle Park.

Gyokusendo Cave is another awesome place to visit in Okinawa. It is more than 300,000 years old. It is a giant limstone cave located in southern Okinawa and it is renown as the second largest cave in Japan. Its underground maze has over 5 km long and it takes about an hour to complete the track.
It is very worth a visit to this beautiful cave. I've never been to a cave with 5km long!

Another visitor site, Pineapple Park, it is located nearby Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. Inside the park, there is a huge pineapple field and a tropical garden. Visitors can sample pineapple products in the souvenir shop. Among the various products are pineapple wines, juices, cakes, chocolates, as well as dried and fresh pineapple. You can also observe how pineapples are pealed, cut and canned.
